LHS ITRC Mission Statment

The mission of the LHS Library Information Technology Research Center is to empower students with foundations in research, information literacy, and technology skills to promote lifelong learning. The program stimulates intellectual freedom, provides physical access to all available materials, and collaborates with ongoing Common Core classroom instruction. LHS LITRC supports an independent love of reading, creative expression and technology skills needed to be a productive student and citizen in the twenty-first century.

ITRC Library Policies

  • Students will be respectful of others and speak quietly in the library.
  • All books are due in two weeks, failure to return materials will result in fines of $.10 cents for every book, every school day.
  • Total of (5) five books for check out.
  • Audiovisual materials are available for one day only, after one day fines will be $1.00 every school day.
  • Replacement costs for all lost materials is required.  Please make your check or money order payable to: Liberty High School
  • Internet code of ethics/conduct will be enforced. Any student using technology inappropriately will lose library privileges.
  • Teachers may place materials on hold in the library for as long as needed.
  • All students entering the library will have a pass from their classroom teacher.

OverDrive Login Directions

Click the OverDrive eBooks link above.
1. Select Bethlehem Area School District from the drop-down menu
2. Staff may log in with their BASD e-mail username. The password is your 6-digit employee ID number.
3. Students in grades 1-12 may log in with their 3rd Party User Name (BASD+ID) and 3rd Party Password (SRI). See your building librarian for login questions.
4. After logging in, you may check out up to 3 eBooks/audiobooks for 14 days. These are automatically removed at the end of the lending period.
5. Items may be checked out using a district computer or a personal device.
6. Elementary students have access to Elementary level materials; Middle School students have access to Middle and Elementary level materials; High School students and Staff have access to all materials.
